Responsibilities

Ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices:
  • Ensuring that all work is done safely, and areas are clean and tidy at all times in line with "Clean as you Go Policy" while following job specific tasks and roles as set out in SOP's and work instructions.
  • Operate equipment in a safe and effective manner, following written and verbal instructions to minimize the risk of injury, damage or loss.
  • Comfortable with cleaning, using chemicals, lifting and carrying out scheduled daily cleaning tasks.
  • Carry out day to day hygiene activities and deep cleaning in line with requirements ensuring operational integrity.
  • Review equipment and highlight damage, escalating risks to the appropriate personnel.
  • Ensure that chemicals are used and stored correctly and that all paperwork is completed accurately and submitted to the correct personnel.
  • Follow work instructions highlighting any issues to the Hygiene Senior Operator and promote a good health, safety and environmental culture within the department.
  • Identify and highlight any opportunities that make sustainable improvements to increase quality, performance in support of the overall shift plan.
Training and Development Opportunities Upskilling and development opportunities are available with the chance to step up into senior positions.
Bakery Associates Location: Maidstone
Various roles available within production and the packing areas. Roles range from mixing unbaked dough through to packing the finished product, working in small teams within an industrial bakery environment. Salary - starting from £9.38 with the potential to upskill to high levels at a higher pay rate, with night shifts at an enhanced rate Full Time - Permanent - position should be viewed as a long-term opportunity

Forklift Truck Driver Location: Maidstone
Full Time associates working 4 x 12 hour shifts on a rotating shift pattern consisting days, nights and weekends We are located on the 20/20 Industrial Estate in Maidstone, so please consider your commute to work when applying. You will need to be dependable, flexible, quality driven, conscientious, and a passionate associate. Good standard of verbal and written English required to meet site safety rules. Previous experience within a Bakery environment would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be given, the position should also be viewed as a long-term opportunity.

Responsibilities

Ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices:

  • Ensuring that all work is done safely, and areas are clean and tidy at all times in line with "Clean as you Go Policy" while following job specific tasks and roles as set out in SOP's and work instructions. This includes the cleaning of the warehouse, chiller and the yard.
  • Monitoring of product dates and control of scrap. Use dates in rotation.
  • Ensuring correct stock levels are maintained on site and appropriate control offsite stores.
  • Assisting with daily cycle count of stock and with weekly stock takes.
  • Ensure all raw materials are placed in the correct area to ensure smooth running of production and packaging.
  • Ensuring that raw materials are stored in the correct way avoiding cross contamination of any ingredients. Oversee bulk flour deliveries and relevant checks and paperwork are completed.
  • Understand all the safety and food safety processes for the area in which you work.
  • Operate equipment in a safe and effective manner, following written and verbal instructions to minimize the risk of injury, damage or loss.
  • Good communication skills and able to follow instructions.
  • Working closely with other members of the team and departments to ensure reports and handovers are effective.
  • Timekeeping: adhering to shift start/finish times and break entitlement
